Bonus 01: Character Intro Cards

My copy of the game came with 9 character cards included that introduce us to major players in the cast. Let's meet them before we get started with the game proper, shall we?

Each card has character art, some basic data, and what I assume is a short bio. I can't make heads or tails of the bio without expending far more effort than it would be worth, but I can give a rundown of the basic data. And if anyone else wants to take a stab at translating the bios, please feel free!

The elements mentioned are referring to the Wu Xing. Here's a Wikipedia link. The elements are present in game as well but I can't tell if they have any actual effect on gameplay.

Hiko's just a regular human as opposed to a sennin, so he doesn't get fancy sennin things like "paopei" or "masters".

...Boy, Raishinshi's transformation better be real fuckin' miraculous to make up for the fact we're putting a five year old in the line of danger.

You can lay these 9 cards out in a grid; where the sides touch, there's a yellow circle summing up the relations of the characters on the adjacent cards. Here's a quick chart:
